Eat PB&J for Easter Dinner if it helps you focus on the RIGHT target!-3What makes you feel safe and at peace? For our children, it may be a favorite blanket or just a snuggle with mom. (A hug from my mom STILL makes me feel secure).  But where do you seek that comfort on a daily basis? The government? The police? An alarm system on your house?

In this week’s Prayer Cafe, Alecia Baptiste explains where true security lies, and how to let yourself receive it.

Receiving Wisdom

We ask a question and he answers instantly? In this week’s Prayer Cafe, Alecia Baptiste talks about why patience is crucial when waiting for divine answers.

[Prayer Cafe] When First Place is Last Place – Matthew 20:16

Eat PB&J for Easter Dinner if it helps you focus on the RIGHT target! We live in a society that values fame and fortune – where being seen and known implies that you are more valuable than others. And who doesn’t want to be seen as valuable? But when we remember how Jesus lived, he spent his time with the “least valuable.” In this week’s Prayer Cafe, Alecia Baptiste reviews Jesus’ teaching on first being last, and last being first – and how that applies to us today.

[Prayer Cafe] Focusing on the Right Target

2 Corinthians 4:18Our Easter Sunday is full of chocolate-filled baskets, little boy squeals, and new Church outfits. After that, we hunt for eggs with the family and come together for a home-cooked meal. We cram a lot into that one day – sometimes too much. In this week’s Prayer Cafe, Alecia Baptiste reminds us not to let the festivities distract us from the right target this Easter.
