At the International Christian Mompreneur Network, we’re not making New Year’s Resolutions. We’re choosing a scripture verse to guide us through the year instead. We’re selecting a verse that speaks to our hearts and offers support, hope or motivation for us to live out the following year with purpose and direction. The following is part of a series of posts featuring members of the International Christian Mompreneur Network sharing their scripture verse of the year. We pray these posts will inspire and encourage you to select a scripture verse to guide you through the year as well.
Scripture Verse of the Year 2014 – By Susan Orehowsky
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
As a couple we had a very rough last two years, full of trials and massive change. This last year has been about getting clear on God’s plan for me and my family. I am still a work in progress and now with maturity now understand that is an ever flowing process. This verse is God’s promise to me that no matter what I have lost in materials, he has given back so much more in the relationship between him and me. I make sure I take time each morning to spend with God and be still and listen. God has restored that which was meant to harm us and I know that he keeps his promises and so I know I will prosper. I will hope and I have an awesome future!
