Confession: When I created my first website, I had no clue what I was doing! I just knew that I had to be online if I wanted to take myself seriously as a business owner. And I knew that there were all sorts of free tools available to help people just like me create a website on our own. So I dove right in!
The result? After months of frustration with the supposedly simple tools (this was before I ever heard of WordPress), I was ready to launch my completely imperfect website. I was quite proud of it at the time. But looking back, there are so many things I should have done differently. So many lessons I’ve learned along the way that would have saved me time and money. And I want to share a few of those tips with you here.
